We ordered the fried whole trout, and it was absolutely delicious—perfectly crispy on the outside, tender and flaky on the inside. The trout was clearly fresh, as it’s sourced locally, and you could taste the difference.
The parsley potatoes and herb butter complemented the trout wonderfully, making for a perfectly balanced and satisfying meal. I learned that the manager has trout ponds nearby, and it’s clear he knows exactly how to cook it to perfection!

Great place with good food and nice people in service. We definitely recommend salami pizza, soup and the vegetarian option was very tasty too. Decent prices and plenty of tables. You should definitely go there.

A pleasant place that feels like a typical Austrian restaurant. The staff were friendly and the food was excellent. I had the trout, which was absolutely delicious, and my partner had the goulash, which was also excellent. Overall, we were very satisfied.

Good restaurant with very friendly service. Most of the dishes we ordered were delicious and even the pizza was good. The only thing we didn’t like as much was the rolled meat as it was a bit dry but everything else was good, especially the soups!

We ordered two pizzas — both were delicious — and a cheese salad, which was also great. But the highlight was the two fish dishes: one was salmon and the other a local specialty from their lake. The taste was absolutely incredible — the best items on the menu!

My husband and I recently visited the town of Bad Gastein, Austria and frequently dined in this Restaurant. The atmosphere was relaxing and quiet even with many other patrons. We had lunch a few times and dinner many times. We tried several different dishes and were never disappointed. All of it was excellent along with friendly and welcoming service. We would highly recommend this restaurant.

We popped in for a late evening dessert and it was amazing! Also there was a techno event outside which was great to see! DJ was fire tbh 😅 The restaurant had a great atmosphere and the waiter was such a good guy! Highly recommend!

The place to be for a traditional meal in bad gastein. Loved the schnitzel and other dishes here. Very kind staff and typical cosy Austrian interior. Worth a visit if you’re in the neighbourhood.

We both had a dessert, and a special drink, me a red wine. Food came fast. Don’t get it why this restaurant only has a 4.4.. definitely 5 star!! Overall we spent EUR 68. I visited this restaurant and had a truly wonderful experience! The staff were incredibly kind and helpful. They welcomed us with a smile and explained the menu in detail in English. We never felt like strangers in their country. Highly recommend this place!
